Situated on a small lot in downtown Toronto, the Bellwoods Lodge is a three-story residence designed by Nice Lake Studio as an city shelter for households. The love of the close to household for out of doors actions presided over the design plan, which discovered its front room on the highest flooring surrounded by treetops appearing like a cabin within the woods. Ceiling-covered cedar boards and a wooden range heat the room to create a cushty and peaceable sanctuary for the household.
A small staircase results in an out of doors terrace with views of the town, sunsets and the night time sky.
Skylights and a multi-level flooring plan create a skylight that brings pure gentle to all three flooring of the residence.
The bottom flooring is one other stage on which the kitchen and eating room are elevated above a bookshelf / recessed front room that connects to the entrance porch.
A suspended mattress within the kids's room leaves the ground free and gives the look that the area is greater.
The bottom flooring entrance serves as a really giant closet with a wall storage for bicycles and an area to cover coats and boots.
